In a perfect world I'd agree because mmmm warm butter baked into the bread but unfortunately that is how you break your toaster and start fires. Can you airfry bread with butter on it? That might work

we should all know that the best way to make toast is with a frying pan.

you either butter both sides of the bread and then fry it in the pan, or you just put a shit load of butter in the pan and fry your bread in that.

either one yields literally the perfect toast
