eggs are better with bread instead of toast

ok i only did this for the first time semi recently and i don't think i can go back.
i want to preface by explaining that my NUMBER ONE biggest pet peeve is when i cook a runny egg and the yolk spills on the plate. because no matter how hard u try u can NEVER soak all of it up and some of it inevitably gets wasted and that is UNACCEPTABLE to me.
so yeah recently ive been preferring my eggs with runny yolks. and i always have 1 piece of toast per egg, and one extra to go on the plate underneath the one in my hand to catch any drips so nothing gets wasted. but one day i was too lazy to wait for my toast to cook so i just used bread, and it was SO GOOD. especially because my egg was softly cooked, the soft texture of the bread was so nice and went so well. sometimes the crunchy texture of toast can be kinda abrasive so i just found the soft bread to be so pleasant and now i do that every time. PLUS, bread is WAY more efficient at soaking up yolk from the plate if (god forbid) some of it ends up there. so its just a win/win all around
if i was having an egg that was cooked more thoroughly i would probably use toast instead, but for soft/runny eggs bread has been top tier.
