AITA for murdering five people in Colville, Washington in 1996?

Throwaway for obvious reasons.

In the early 90s, I (27M at the time) moved to a town called Colville in the state of Washington, in order to work at the Colville National Forest.

One day I was doing maintenance on a trail in the forest and heard some yelling and loud music. I wandered off the trail to a nearby cliffside, and looking down I could see some teenagers partying by the lake below me. They were listening to loud, obnoxious rap music and it was so loud I couldn't hear the videogame OSTs I was trying to listen to. There were 3 guys and 2 femoids, and they were all your typical Chad and Stacy types. I became so enraged at their existence that I immediately walked back to my truck and grabbed my .22 rifle from under the passenger seat. I hiked for around half an our until I was at their campsite.

Long story short, there are five bodies at the bottom of a lake in the Colville National Forest. I moved out of state shortly afterwards, and I've kept up with the news and I don't think they have ever been found.

AITA? Personally I don't think so because they were illegally camping and were annoying Chads and Stacys playing really loud music. If it was the Chrono Trigger OST it would have been fine lol.

ESH: God that is so obnoxious of them, I understand where your rage came from. I'm sure I would have had a hard time holding myself back if I was in your situation. That being said though, you could have just showed them the OST you were listening to and they probably would have agreed that it was better? Like, maybe you didn't have to shoot them. Even Chads and Stacys can surprise you sometimes (sounds crazy but it happens I swear). Oh well.

Everybody knows that rap isn't real music and is nothing compared to the Chrono Trigger soundtrack. You did the right thing for sure.
