i dont rly like how music sounds thru earbuds and would rather use a good quality pair of over-the-head ones. however my nice headphones have been broken for a while, and on top of that my phone doesnt have a headphone jack anymore, AND my laptop headphone jack is semi-broken, so for the past few months ive hardly listened to music unless im in my car, or home alone and can use my speaker. but i just got a new pair!!!!! so i've been listening to a lot mroe music and i thought i would post one of these (copying u @puffin)

1. the entire strokes discography
ive just been putting all of it on shuffle and vibing. the strokes are a band that simply never miss. even the songs that i like less than others are still bangers.... not ONE skip fr. i think i've been enjoying comedown machine and first impressions of earth a bit extra lately. going to highlight 2 favs from those albums:

1.1: Slow Animals


if u listen to this PLS do it with headphones. theres a riff somewhere in the middle that goes BEAUTIFULLY from left side to right and its like crack. tingles my brain in the best possible way.

1.2: Ask Me Anything


this one has a central riff that i just cant get enough of <3 idek what instrument it is ? but i could really listen to that arpeggio chord progression all fucking day. high art fr. and the song is just so melancholic and beautiful.... love love love love this one


2. boygenius - the record
the entire album is a work of art, but again ill pick 2 of my favs:

2.1: $20


uuuuuuuuuuughhh i cant even put into WORDS what this song does to me........ phoebes screaming in the background near the end like GODDD i love her so much

honeslty as im trying to pick my favourites im realizing how fucking hard it is to put any song on this album above another. i might have to do a full review but idk if i can do that without exploding

ok last one, ik i said i was gonna do 2 but its so hard not to also mention this one:
2.3: Satanist


i just rly love the tune of this one and how each member of the band gets their own verse. ik they do that on a lot of the songs but i especially appreciate it on this one. very good stuff

3. ashnikko - WEEDKILLER
ok this album just came out but i am sooooooo obsessed. i just love the rage so much. like fr is there anything better than being PISSED!!!!!!!! it gives me the same cathartic rage vibes as most pup songs give me. i think this one is going to be on loop for the next while

ok. this concludes the list for now. i bought a whole bunch of cds recently, most of which i havent heard before. i havent cracked into them yet... that will be a project for the next couple weeks and maybe ill post some thoughts about those too. TY FOR READING <3
