it makes me sad that loser is the only beck song that really took off. it’s pretty much the only beck song that anyone knows which is fucked up because he has so many other bangers that evoke the exact same vibe, but they never got as much attention.
i’m on my phone and cant be bothered to give examples rn but there are so many. source: trust me bro
loser has one of my favourite lines from any song ever, which is “get crazy with the cheez whiz”. but beck’s lyrical genius does not stop there
he also once said “i ain't gonna work for no soul sucking jerk” and “ándale joto, your popsicle’s melting”
then one time he said:
“fist pounding on a vending machine, toy diamond ring stuck on her finger”
and also: “she's a melted avocado on the shelf”
anyway my point is sometimes he gets a lil goofy with it. and i think that’s beautiful. more ppl should listen to beck
