i think i love this song because it's exactly what king gizzard would sound like if they were making music in the 60s. obviously the doors were a huge influence on the band but this song specifically really reminds of gizz's style.

this song is pure fuckin' bliss. one of the best guitar tones ever. so glad i stumbled across this album as it's easily my favourite prog album i've heard in a while. it's so unique and i'd easily put it up there with the best from bands like king crimson and yes. my other favourite songs are "doscientos anos" and "perdonado".

i recently saw fleet foxes live at the halifax jazz fest so i've been on a bit of a helplessness blues kick again. easily one of my favourite albums of all time i can not recommend it enough. robin pecknold's solo performance of blue spotted tail was one of my favourite parts of the show so i've been listening to it a lot since.

in the past listening to this album i never really paid much attention to this song but ever since i fell in love with the opening lines "i don't want to be a rusty suit of armor / or a tumbled out forgotten castle in your mind / i just want to be a twisted willow / so i can leave your shallow thinking far behind" i haven't been able to stop listening to it. the vocals on this song are just something else man.

honestly haven't been listening to a lot of king gizzard in the last week or so but my recent favourite from the new album has been witchcraft. i think "dragon" is still the best song on the album and i'd even put "motor spirit" and "flamethrower" as the other two best but there is something so sick about witchcraft i can't get enough rn. witchcraft
