the entire "trans people in sports" feels like a distraction tactic to prevent people from thinking about and addressing the actual things that matter (i.e. getting trans people the healthcare they need, the mental support they need, to only name a few.).

im not saying we shouldn't care about competitive fairness to some (reasonable) extent, and if it needs to be addressed then it should be done in a way that is as inclusive as possible (instead of banning trans people from competing altogether, which seems to be the approach). i dont think thats the main issue here though???

its almost as if these strawmen are created because they lack any actual evidence to use against the existence of trans people.
